Returns, withdrawal and warranty

You may withdraw from the purchase within five (5) business days after the part is delivered (Colombian Law 1480 of 2011, art. 47). The part must be returned in the same condition you received it: uninstalled, unused, complete and in its packaging.

• You pay for return shipping. We will tell you the address to send the part to.
• Send the return tracking number to info@motorsote.com: it is your proof of shipment.
• We refund everything you paid, without deductions or withholdings, within thirty (30) calendar days at most and using the same payment method.

Even after the withdrawal period has ended, we accept returns of uninstalled, unused and complete parts in their packaging within ten (10) calendar days of delivery. In that case:

• You pay for return shipping, and the original shipping is not refunded (if it was free, we deduct its actual cost).
• We deduct a restocking fee of 20% of the part's price, with a minimum of 10 USD.
• We only accept the part at the address we give you.

This fee never applies to a withdrawal, to defective parts or parts under warranty, or when we ship a part other than the one you ordered or the one we identified. If an installed part fails, use the warranty (section 4).

If you paid by credit card, debit card or another electronic method and were a victim of fraud, did not authorize the transaction, did not receive the part, or the part does not match your order or is defective, you can request a payment reversal within five (5) business days after learning of the situation. You must notify both us and the issuer of your payment method (Law 1480, art. 51; Decree 587 of 2016).

The parts we sell carry a legal warranty of quality, fitness and safety (Law 1480, arts. 7 to 11), which we provide and handle directly. Every quote states whether the part is new, remanufactured or used, and the warranty that applies to it.

• New original (OEM) parts: twelve (12) months.
• Remanufactured parts: six (6) months.
• Used parts: sixty (60) days.
• The period runs from the day you receive the part.
• The warranty covers repair, replacement of the part or a refund, as appropriate.
• It does not cover damage caused by improper installation, use other than intended, or normal wear, when this is proven.

Email us at info@motorsote.com with your order number, a description of the problem and photos of the part. We answer within fifteen (15) business days at most.

Depending on the cause of the claim, we tell you the procedure and the address to send the part to. If the warranty applies, we pay for shipping; if it is shown that the failure is due to a cause the warranty does not cover, shipping is at your expense.

As a consumer in the European Union you have a broader right of withdrawal than in section 1 (Directive 2011/83/EU):

• You may withdraw from the purchase without giving any reason within fourteen (14) days of the day on which you, or someone you name, receive the part.
• To exercise it, send a clear statement to info@motorsote.com before the period expires; you may use the model form below, but it is not required.
• We refund all payments, including standard delivery, within fourteen (14) days of receiving your decision, using the same payment method. We may withhold the refund until we receive the part or proof that you sent it.
• You must send the part back within fourteen (14) days, and you bear the direct cost of returning it. The restocking fee in section 2 does not apply to this withdrawal.
• You are only liable for any loss in value of the part resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning; for example, if you installed it.

You also have the legal guarantee of conformity granted by the law of your country of residence, which this policy does not reduce.
